Cat Paranoia
For the past 2 months or so I’ve had a paranoia about fire. What is that all about?
I just have worry that my place is going to go up in flames and my little cat would be trapped. I had a dream last night where I was in a house and I opened the door to the basement and there was a raging fire and I ran upstairs to get my cat. I’ve never had a problem with fire before.
Fire is something that is powerful and out of control and has the power to take away or harm those things and people (and animals) that we love. It seems like perhaps you are feeling a bit insecure and are unconsciously worried about losing those things and people, and your little cat. Maybe you are feeling that your life is a bit out of control, I don’t know. But a fear of fire would be certainly understandable under these circumstances, especially if it is not based on a bad experience and has just come on recently.
