Dementia And Paranoia

Do Vitamins Actually Help in Overthrowing Glutenated Depression?

Vitamins perform many important functions in your body, including providing ‘energy boost’ to your brains. So they are always on the prescription list of the doctors. Some of these vitamins are considered crucial in fighting with depression, especially ‘glutenated’ depression in celiac patients.

Researchers have shown that there are several vitamin deficiencies are responsible for glutenated depression. The villis (lining of your small intestine) are damaged such that they do not absorb these vitamins and then their deficiencies can lead to neuron-transmission. Taking suitable vitamin supplements to your diet is considered ideal remedy for overthrowing the depression. It is particularly important to try them before you start taking antidepressants.

Vitamin B tablets are important to keep you balanced emotionally and mentally. As these vitamins cannot be stored in our body, we have to depend on our regular food and additional vitamin intake in order to replenish them.

Vitamin B1 (called Thiamine) is utilized by the brains to convert blood sugar or glucose into “fuel” for the entire body to function properly. Deficiency of this vitamin can lead to depression, fatigue, anxiety or even worst, negative thoughts of suicide.

Vitamin B3 (called Niacin) deficiency can lead to pellagra, which is responsible for psychosis and dementia, and many other symptoms.

Vitamin B5 (called Pyridoxine) is useful in the processing of amino acids, which is considered essential to build blocks of all proteins and other hormones. It is an essential element in manufacturing dopamine, serotonin and melatonin. Although deficiencies in vitamin B6 are rare, it can lead to skin wounds, impaired immunity and mental confusion.

Vitamin B12 is necessary for red blood cell formation. Therefore its deficiency will lead to pernicious anemia (an oxygen-transport problem). This can possibly cause dementia, mood swings, paranoia, hallucination, confusion, or mania, followed by weakness, dizziness, palpitation, shortage of breath and more.

Vitamin E – One of the important symptoms of celiac disease is problems with your skin. Abnormal skin sensations are experienced by people with celiac disease which include itching, burning, prickling or tingling. These abnormalities create depressive mood, especially in children. Use of vitamin E is very effective in these cases.

If the vitamins are supplemented by minerals, then the combination can help you to overthrow your depression quickly. So intake of minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium should be considered along with vitamins.

Remember, there is no ‘ideal meal’ formula for overthrowing glutenated depression. Vitamins and minerals do help, but you need to consult your doctor for deciding which ones and in what proportion. Also, taking vitamins is not the solution for everything. For instance, consumption of excessive alcohol or occasional consumption of gluten loaded food can negate the effectiveness of vitamins. If you are a celiac patient, then you need to make sweeping changes in your eating and drinking habits and follow them vigorously too!
