Does anyone know if a person with this disorder is likely to follow the law and obey a restraining order? He so called “ended” the relationship but the truth was I actually uncovered some horrible things. I had to take out papers for assault and communicated threats. I have read many websites that say it is difficult to get these people out of your life. I am strictly enforcing a no contact rule here because he is with people of very low standards at this time. Is his paranoia an asset to me?
no he is not able to follow the law. you need to constantly be vigilant about this person. every time this person breaks the restraining order you need to contact the police. you need to keep a record of everything. you need to know the law backwards and forwards and be aware of loopholes. and stay away from him, where he goes and the things he does and be careful when you are alone. get the locks changed or move.
I wouldn’t say paranoia is an asset. you just need to be careful and stay in contact with the police. these people are nothing to play around with
