Mmpi Paranoia

Can a person get approved for Social Security Disability ? ( MMPI )?

I have a friend that took a psychological test called an MMPI. My friend scored ” High ” on almost all of the tests. He had high levels of stress, high levels of anxiety, high levels of paranoia….Basically, if it were a pass/fail test, he failed BIG TIME. He has alot of problems going back to his childhood and up. He also has asthma, allergies ( takes shots ) 3 disks dislocated in his back ( causing him problems alot but not all the time ) He has been diagnosed with GERD and Epstein-Barr virus. I believe he IS depressed and probably should see a doctor about it. I suggested he apply for Social Security Disability. I explained that Social Security would probably approve him with all the diagnoses that he’s had. He said he didn’t believe they would, based on his age, Mid 30′s.
Would he have a good chance at receiving Social Security Disability ?

Based on my own experience, and those I know, he has a quite good chance of approval BUT yes, it can be drawn out. I heard 90 percent of claims are rejected the first time, as was mine, twice. Once this happens, then I’d get an attorney. Can take up to 2 years and he shouldn’t work in the meantime, certainly not full time, or they’ll say, you can have gainful employment, you don’t need SSDI.
