A Simple System to Health
Being Healthy is so simple we all can do it…Everyday! Everyone! Being Healthy without any fear of future illness, or the need for drugs, or medications, or doctors or hospitals is an inner peace, an inner knowledge, an understanding. It is a judgment about the lifestyle we choose and the food we eat. We need a simple program to eat healthy everyday!
Any physiological chronic illnesses like diabetes, cancer, heart disease, arthritis and obesity is caused by the food one eats. You already know what to avoid… right? Just start learning what to select, prepare and eat everyday! Any psychological illness, like paranoia or schizophrenia is caused by the food one eats. So why not just eat healthy everyday? What is being healthy mean? HEALTHY means the ability to HEAL THY self. If you know how to take care of yourself, you need never to fear again the thought of getting sick. You can HEAL yourself. I did.
We can prevent and even reverse any physical or mental illness by changing our eating. I call this the “CURE.” The cure for any chronic illness is Change “UR” Eating!
How do I know this? I was born sneezing and wheezing with hay fever in 1947. Now 60 years later, after 30 years of research and study of macrobiotics along with my personal trial and error, I believe that the proper selection, preparation and eating of a whole grain, plant-based diet is the simple system to be healthy…or for some of you, to dramatically reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and obesity. Along with personal research and study there is a great deal of scientific evidence, especially, THE CHINA STUDY by T. Colin Campbell, PhD, Jacob Gould Schurman Professor Emeritus of Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University. This study has startling implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long Term Health. I recommend reading it.
I also recommend reading, Whooo Cooks For You? by David Snieckus, Margaret Arndt and our daughter, Abigail. WHOOO COOKS FOR YOU? is a family book on plant-based whole foods consciousness and cooking. The first third is a children’s book, the second third provides recipes for both children and adults, the last third provides explanations for adults of the benefits of a plant-based whole foods diet from three perspectives: nutritional, environmental, and world consciousness.
