Paranoia Poems
College student with paranoia of losing certain things- stolen, fire, misplacing… any one have any advice?
Everywhere I go I HAVE to have, my 2 wallets, phone, ipod, 2 memory sticks, and digital camera. They are always in the same exact place in my backpack. I fear that if I would leave them in my dorm room, that the building will burn down, someone would break it… We have had severe false fire alarms- throughout the night- I HAVE to bring that pre packed backpack out with me. I dont know what I would do if I lost them. I write poems, very personal, on the memory stick and I dont know what would happen if I lost that. I have been diagnosed with depression, and social anxiety. I have had this for at least 3 years now. It is really starting to become a nuisance to always have my backpack with me. Suggestions tips. this needs to stop but it scares the living daylights out of me!
I see what you mean, I’m not diagnosed with it but I always hear noises like the light switches in my home switching on and off, or footsteps.
I have 3 tips
1: Just leave 1 thing at a time in your dorm, like just 1 of your wallets until you’re comfortable with that, then maybe leave your Ipod.
2: See if you doctor can prescribe anything for the problem.
3: Learn to trust the others in the Dorm, and make sure they know about that, people are usually really careful not to smash things they know are there.
Whenever you start thinking about all the problems that could happen, be optimistic and look for the good side too.
