Probably Causes Paranoia

probably causes paranoia
can alcohol intoxication alone cause paranoia?

i got extremely drunk the other night.

i drank, budweiser, lager, vodka mixed with redbull, and shots.

and ever since, i have been suffering from delusions, that i’ve said things to people that will lead to them finding out and killing me, and also that i am not gonna get enough sleep and that i will die from lack of r.e.m sleep.

these delusions are really scaring me, as you can imagine, i would just like to know if anyone else has had these experiences.

i have been dazed ever since, and i keep feeling like i am going to pass out.

i have never used drugs, and probably never would

actually alcohol withdrawal is second only to heroine withdrawal(because it can kill you) in how sever the affects can be. heavy heavy alcoholism for long periods can result in delusions, paranoia, hallucinations etc. sounds like you went on a serious binge. I ve experienced all the symptoms you’ve listed but worse sometimes i go on 4-5-6 day drinking binges and paranoia definitely is not fun. i usually feel the psychological affects from a heavy bout of drinking up to 4 days after the fact. lack of sleeping is defiantly one

if you’ve been drinking HEAVILY for 20 some years like some alcoholics actually get heart attacks and die from trying to quit
there bodies just cant handel it

you definitely seem to have the personality of the alcoholic(not joking) because as for the other people who answer they have no clue about what you or i am talking about. the paranoia and such are signs of this

you need to go to AA (not joking)

you dont have to quit drinking, I sure as hell wont but you should at least be knowledgeable of the affect of alcohol physically and mentally. In MY OPINION alcohol is a much worse drug than cocain or weed but is much more socially acceptable.

take this into perspective ;

An Alcoholic doesn’t have to have a drink for 25 YEARS,
BUT THEY WILL STILL BE AN ALCOHOLIC

    my ex husband gets paranoid and he has been an alcoholic for over thirty years. he’ll be nice as pie one day, then out of nowhere calls me and accuses of of hacking into his phone and paying my cable bill with his credit card. he also tells me that i am being investigated and his lawyer has all the evidence. there are other bizarre episodes, but this happened today, after a very nice weekend with him and the family. he is trying to stop the divorce, so am wondering if it is all the stress and the alcoholism combined.
