symptoms of clinical paranoia
Do i have a bi-polar disorder?

For about a year now i have been experiencing symptoms i though were clinical depression, and general anxiety disorder, but now think i have manic depression. My symptoms are the following:

Rapid mood swings, fits of rage, depression, the enjoyment of pain, when i go into rages i feel high, sense of importance, black outs(sometimes happens during rages), thoughts of suicide and death, hitting walls and other solid materials, feeling of hopelessness, anxiety, paranoia, thoughts of hurting others, loss of appetite, loss of hobbies, isolating myself, impulsize behavior, mania, and rapid speech or thought. This has had a advert affect in my life, and even though i have these symptoms my shrinks still think i have clinical depressiong and general axiety disorder. Also if it helps im 16.
Also i have been on clonapin, it failed and im on prozac and its starting to fail.
Also when i mean “after i have a rage i get a high, i actualy mean a high like an altered consicencious sort of high

Bipolar disorder causes shifts in moods, ranging from the highs of mania on one extreme, to the lows of depression on the other extreme. Bipolar disorder involves more than just a fleeting good or bad mood; the cycles of bipolar disorder last for days, weeks, or months. There is also such a think as mixed bipolar episodes, where you experience both manic and depressive symptoms.

Mania:
impulsiveness
euphoria
sense of power/invincibility
little sleeping
distractability
rapid speech/thought
delusions/hallucinations (in extreme cases)

Depression:
sadness/hopelessness
inability to experience pleasure
fatigue
appetite or weight changes
concentration/memory changes
thoughts of death or suicide

The first manic or depressive episode of bipolar disorder usually occurs in the teenage years, around your age. Your symptoms are in line with the symptoms of both mania and depression. The symptoms can be subtle and confusing, so many people with bipolar disorder are overlooked or misdiagnosed, as you may have been. Treatment may take time to find the proper medication regimen that works for you, but you can lead a rich and fulfilling life.

Please see your physician immediately so you can be re-evaluated for the appropriate condition.

Best of luck!
